I suppose Catcher in the Rye was innovative back in the early 1950s, but as with most innovative things, it seems quaint now that it has be around for nearly sixty years.

I read Catcher in the Rye when my then girlfriend was reading it in one of her advance placement classes. What a waste of trees. I'm glad I underachieved my way through high school so I wouldn't have to deal with that POS.
