I wish I had a story about a pet that grew up with me and went on adventures. However, my family were the typical trailer, irresponsible pet owners. The longest I had a pet was 3 years. There always seemed to trajedies involving coyotes or cars. This is why I now have 2 cats that don't leave the safety of my home.

This was a fantastic story Tim.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7861874.post-1159825039982459822006-10-02T14:37:00.000-07:002006-10-02T14:37:00.000-07:00R. Plus catching dog doo in a tissue builds character. Look at your father and your other uncle...well, maybe not good examples. But I agree with you on not forcing your kids to wet themselves. Your parents are getting to that age where you could get your payback, however. :)Timehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07838683246636045823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7861874.post-1159820537144209352006-10-02T13:22:00.000-07:002006-10-02T13:22:00.000-07:00I will never ever make my kids catch dog poo becau...I will never ever make my kids catch dog poo because I don't want to stop. He will limp around the house pining for pity, but he can fly like the wind down the fence line with any passing car or truck. He'll bark like crazy when he hears someone on the porch, ready to defend the castle, but will cower at my feet at the sound of distant thunder. He sheds like crazy, and my vacuum cleaner gets a regular workout. He's addicted to dog bisquits, worse than any crack addict. I don't honestly know if he'd attack anyone threatening me, but he WILL lick you to death if I like you. He's my friend, and I am so glad to have made his acquantance.Alex Pendragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15877845166621794334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7861874.post-1159725660920396132006-10-01T11:01:00.000-07:002006-10-01T11:01:00.000-07:00Hayden, I totally agree. It seems that insensitivity towards critters is often accompanied by insensitivity towards humans, particularly those outside of their immediate circle. But then, I've got Jake the wonder-puppy.Haydenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02758977872663382006noreply@blogger.com
