The Intellectual Property policeThey live inside of my headThe Intellectual Property policeThey come to me in my bedThe Intellectual Property policeThey're coming to pull down my t-shirt designs, oh no
-- With thanks to Cheap Trick
So just as I predicted, the Intellectual Property police stormed into teepublic.com and removed my two "I'm Batman" t-shirt designs. It was Warner Entertainment that felt threatened by my artistic expression of distaste with Trumps lying. Once again it proves that corporate America can't live without squeezing ever last dime out of the masses themselves. Doesn't matter that no one was buying this design anyway.
Even ChatGPT wouldn't tell me what the chorus to "Dream Police" by Cheap Trick for fear of offending the Intellectual Property police even though it doesn't violate copyright just to look at the frickin' lyrics. Yet Gemini by Google cranks out the images of Batman like a PEZ dispenser.
And speaking of PEZ dispensers, today is National Quesadilla Day and National Lobster Day, so I compromised.
I imagine the National Quesadilla Day people and the National Lobster Day people aren't overly thrilled that they have to share the joy of a National Day, but hey, I wanted to kill two lobsters with one tortilla.
And what does a lobster quesadilla have to do with PEZ dispensers? Absolutely nothing, but I couldn't think of a clever segue. But National Lobster Day did inspire a couple of new designs.
I just felt on a roll.
