It is National Cereal Day. I am not sure the cereal associations had this in mind when they prompted the National Day Calendar people to promote it, but it is the first thing I thought of.
Which is not what most people think about when they pour out a bowl of Fruit Loops or Cheerios. But that is unfortunately how my mind works. This is good (I think) if you are coming up with ideas for t-shirts that people think are clever (but have no desire to buy and wear).
Maybe it has something to do with me starting to restream the series Penny Dreadful. It stars Timothy Dalton, Josh Hartnett and Vanessa Ives. It is about a group of Victorian-era monster hunters and supernatural figures blending classic literary characters like Dracula, Wolfman and Frankenstein with some original creations. Ironically none of them seem to eat cereal. But it is set in London and has a very Jack the Ripper vibe. So it is right down my alley.
