Blue

Picasso's blue period was when he painted the darker side of things. His self portrait at that time was done primarily in shades of blue. Why does blue always get a bum rap?

My favorite color is blue. My eyes are blue. My birthstone is blue. I think my aura is blue. So I don't understand why blue is he color associated with melancholy. Being blue shouldn't make you blue.
Nothing but blue skies is a good thing. The blue bird of happiness is always welcome. So why do people sing the blues, talk a blue streak and chase away the blues once in a blue moon?
It makes me see red.

I have to agree blue is a bright happy colour. It reminds me of starting new, freash and crisp.

I think people should sings the greys or blacks.

Hope you had a great weekend.

For the first time since I first looked at your blog, I am a little offended (maybe that's not the right word... outraged is way too strong, but it's along those lines) by your modification of another's piece of art. I looked at that image and felt like some delinquent spray painted obscene graffiti all over my brand new car overnight. I wonder why none of your other stuff has triggered this kind of response in me.

By the way, blue is my favourite colour too. My eyes are blue also and my birthstone is also blue. Blue is good. However, sadness is also good.

I was green when I read that post and wanted to take up the challenge, but then realized I was too yellow.

Even though I also have blue eyes and a blue birthstone...if you actually paint a room blue and sit in it, you will become depressed. I think this theory was developed in prisons or hospitals.

Andy, I like the idea of people singing the greys. That really is the color of depression.

Anna,
Perhaps you are more of a Picasso fan. Next time I'll steal something from his abstract period if it makes you feel better.

Hayden, Orange you glad you didn't?

Kat, And that's why McDonald's are always done in reds and yellows.

Angel w/o wings,
We all have auras or as John Lennon said, "We all shine on." But then again, he was the walrus, goo goo ga joob.

Paul, Very nice take on the friendly blue skies. Thanks!
