Getting along famously

With the plethora of programs like American Idol, Survivor, Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent, etc, it dawned on me that there will probably come a point when everyone in America is famous. Then what we will we do? What's the point of being famous if everyone else is, too? Who is going to take your photo, ask for your autograph or stalk you?

Perhaps we need to start developing reality programs that promote obscurity. How about Who wants to be mediocre?, Biggest Loser (literally), America's biggest victim, or Who can't can't dance, sing or tell jokes?

Just a thought.

I hereby commit myself to never becomming famous. Not that it'll help much, I never ask for autographs or stalk people. I might take a picture tho so you all go ahead and be somebody. Once you're famous just drop by my house and I'll snap a photo to commemorate your achievment.

Lights,
What do you mean "once you're famous?" I am an Internationally known blogger with readers as far away as Bakersfield. As many as two people read my blog on a regular basis. You can't bottle and sell fame like that my friend.

I'm told that an astounding percentage of teenagers really think they will be famous one day. I think the whole thing is creepy and most of their lives are crap.

not that I have an opinion or anything.

Hayden,
I suppose it is something to aspire to. But then again I repeat, what is the point of being famous if everyone else is, too. It's kind of like satan said, "It is better to rule in hell than serve in heave." Well sort of like that.
